Finding Muscle Separation & The Non-Surgical Solution

Pregnancy and weight gain can lead to muscle separation. It’s official term is “diastasis recti.” It’s means the separation of straight, abdominal muscles, basically.

However, what few people realize is that the problem is more with the “corset” (transverse abdominis) muscle than what we consider the “six-pack” muscle. The corset muscle is about 3 layers deep and works just like it sounds – as a corset. It holds all of your organs in and is a major part of your core muscles.

With muscle separation, that muscle is no longer holding together as it should. So instead of a strong set of muscles holding your organs, there is only a thin sheet of tissue holding them in at the split.

A good way to tell you have muscle separation is either by what’s consider the “muffin top” lower belly pooch or if your lower stomach seems to get bigger as the day progresses, after you have put more meals into it. Remember, with only a thin layer of tissue holding everything, it’s no wonder your tummy gets larger and larger throughout the day with your stomach and intestines right behind it… digesting!

I wanted to show you how to do an official test for muscle separation, should you suspect you have it. It’s important to know if you do so you can take the right, EASY steps to repairing it without surgery!!

This test is simple.

I show you how you can do it in less than a minute!

Repair your split quickly, with just minutes every day! I went from a 3-5-3 to a 0-3-2 in just one month of 5 minutes of exercise per day!! Implement the transverse abdominis exercises multiple times a day, and you will be looking down at a flatter stomach in no time!

Knitted Together For a Balanced Life

You may not know that I am a knitter by heart. I love creating a beautiful piece to both look at and wear, and even give away sometimes.

It amazes me that something so gorgeous, like the baby blanket in this photo, can come from a single string of yarn.

It starts out as nothing but a few fibers twisted together to make, what seems like, a thick string. But as the creator of the piece molds it, shapes it, and guides it along the needles, it takes form into something magnificent.

That’s how our lives are. Separated, each section of life seems to be individual strings. You try to fit, place, or “knit” it together to make a wonderful masterpiece. But, just as in blanket-making, if you are missing one or more of the supplies, you will never be able to complete it as wonderfully or beautifully, even if at all, than if everything was used, worked, operated as it should, and built into a lovely finished product.

Having said that, do you have the proper “supplies” in your life and use them the right way? Supplies for life are foods, fitness, relationships, finances, character, etc.

Are you eating well? Exercising regularly? Treating others as you would like them to treat you? Working with integrity? Giving to those in need?

You can’t expect to neglect an area of life and feel great, have a wonderful family life and great friendships, be at your ideal weight, be happy all the time, etc. Our lives are intertwined and require discipline on our part. We have to do what is required of us to have a productive, happy, and fulfilling life. It doesn’t just come to us. It’s worked on, earned, and enjoyed after it’s been diligently planned, structured, and maintained. You can’t expect to automatically be healthy when you aren’t eating healthful foods. You can’t expect to have strong muscles when you aren’t exercising them and pushing them beyond their normal limits. You can’t expect to make friends and have healthy relationships when you never communicate. You can’t expect to stick and follow through on your budget when you don’t take the time to update it.

There are areas each of us can pull up the slack and step it up a notch. There are better ways to treat people. Choosing to have a good attitude. Choosing to forgive. Choosing to eat an apple rather than a bag of chips. Choosing to walk up the stairs to the office than ride the elevator.

Make better choices to help you live a more balanced life!

Look for opportunities to improve. They are around you everywhere, all day long!

Nitric Oxide Used To Build Muscle – Is It Safe?

Have you heard of using nitric oxide to build muscle? People are starting to use it since it’s more natural than steroids.

The important role Nitric oxide plays in the human body makes it one of the most researched molecules. It regulates the cirulation of blood to all parts of the body. It helps support the immune system. It plays a critical role in the proper functioning of organs. It also helps carry messages to nerve cells, among many other things.

The demand for the supplements has gone up recently when people learned that it also helps in building muscles.

But is it safe?

Some side effects can be minimal and ever disappear over time, but if taken the wrong way, serious damage can be caused to the body and it can also lead to death. Some of the side effects include:

~ Headache
~ Nausea
~ Diarrhea
~ Fatigue
~ Heart Palpitations
~ Dry Mouth
~ Fainting
~ Skin Irritation
~ Wheezing
~ Vomiting
~ Hives

… along with many more (for a more extensive list, please see http://www.buzzle.com/articles/nitric-oxide-side-effects.html

The important thing is to:
1) Consult your doctor before taking
2) Be sure you take the PROPER DOSE (you may even want to start with a smaller dose than the correct one so your body can adjust properly)
3) Stop use IMMEDIATELY if you have nasty side effects and consult your doctor ASAP

You will have to make the judgment call for yourself whether or not you take this. I think I will stick with eating healthy with plenty of protein ~ the building block of muscle!!!

Nitric Oxide Used To Build Muscle – Is It Safe?

I Hate Exercise…

…or at least that’s what I thought for most of my life. Growing up, I ran some sprint races and such in school, but never anything that required endurance in movement. I also grew up riding horses once I was old enough to respect their size. Let me tell ya ~ that’s tough exercise even though it doesn’t feel like it all the time. My legs were in the best shape of my life back then before I got into the fitness world in these past 8 months.

Any time I would do anything with endurance, like an exercise program at home or running, I would feel like I had the flu following. It was awful. I would ache. I would be exhausted… more than normal. I almost felt feverish, though I knew I didn’t have one. It really was awful.

A few years ago, I decided to start running for exercise to see if I could do it. Honestly, it was more for the sweating than the running… trying to work toxins out of my body. However, I learned something very interesting. It took about 2 weeks of feeling awful after every run before I got any relief. I kept thinking, “why am I doing this to myself?” But I knew it was good for my body and helped release toxins. Then, almost miraculously, my flu-like symptoms disappeared and never returned as long as I kept exercise as part of my normal routine.

Since then, in some of my research, I have come across some interesting information. I have yet to find out WHY, but it seems as though blood type has something to do with this. And since reading that, I have asked around, and the replies I have received agree with this theory. Interesting…

Once I pushed myself past those first, uncomfortable 2 weeks of exercise, I finally was able to feel what people would talk about all the time regarding the endorphines you get from exercising. Before that, I could never understand what they meant because I just felt sick. Nothing felt great. But after all that was worked out, it actually feels GOOD to me to exercise! I actually like it. I am motivated to keep it in my life because of how it makes me feel now.

I feel stronger, healthier, more disciplined, and even more energetic when fitness is a major part of my life!

If you have been putting off exercise because of this same feeling, keep trying, keep pushing… it does go away so you can enjoy working out, getting stronger, building a healthier body, and feeling better about yourself!

Share a comment of how exercising has changed your life, toned your body, and made you grow in discipline!
