What Do You Do When…

What do you do when God has given you a vision of your future, though, you can’t see the road to get there?

You trust Him anyway.

What do you do when the lies creep in and tell you that it will never happen?

You trust Him anyway.

What do you do when you feel like you’ve done it all?

You keep going and trust Him anyway.

What do you do when you feel disconnected and abandoned?

You trust Him anyway.

What do you do when you feel helpless, drained, confused, and alone?

You trust Him anyway.

What do you do when you receive gut-wrenching, heart-pounding news?

You trust Him anyway.

What do you do when you can’t see a way around the huge mountain staring you in the face?

You trust Him anyway.

What do you do when you are thrown into an uncomfortable situation for a season?

You trust Him anyway.

What do you do when you are the sole responsible person for the training and raising of your kids, putting food on the table, and making sure they grow up in a loving, caring home all by yourself?

You trust Him anyway.

What do you do when you want to throw in the towel?

You keep pressing on and trust Him anyway.

What do you do when all the circumstances around you are screaming the opposite of what His word says?

You trust Him anyway.

What do you do when your feelings and thoughts in your head lie to you?

You trust Him anyway.

What do you do when you are at the end of yourself and have nothing left to give?

You trust Him anyway.

What do you do when what He’s asking you to do is so big, out of your comfort zone, and requires a leap of faith?

You trust Him anyway.

  1. Thank you for the reminder to ‘Trust God Anyway’ no matter how big our problem is. I actually needed that today with some financial issues that are going on with us right now. I was up during the night and prayed about it. It gives me strength to move forward even though I do not know how things are going to turn out. I know God is faithful to His own and He knows the outcome.

    1. He certainly does!! And He can always make things happen better than we can – so I choose to trust Him. Of course, I’m human, so it’s hard sometimes… and I need to remind myself, however, He’s been faithful more than enough that I know He’ll always show up and do a better job than I ever could!!

  2. This is so powerful Jessica! It’s through those challenging times that we need our faith the most and ‘I trust in you Lord’ becomes not just part of a prayer but a battle cry.

  3. Yeah, ditto on all that. Speak the Truth to every question that has the potential to become a lie. Christ was a great example for us. He didn’t argue with Satan – instead Jesus spoke the Word. It worked for Him, and it will work for us! Thank yo Jessica for the reminder to trust God no matter what! I think I’ve had just about every question you posted run through my mind multiple times!

    1. It’s so true, Marvia. We do need to keep speaking truth and keep reassuring ourselves that we are on the right track no matter what circumstances stand in the way. Thanks for your comment – it’s good to know I’m not the only one with these questions some days!!

  4. Great reminder! It is so hard to trust God in the midst of difficult times or when you can’t “see” how things will turn out. So grateful for a God who promises to be with us always!

  5. I’m having one of those “you trust Him anyway” days – and the what ifs are just going to have to make way for Him!

Great article, Jessica – I pray God pours into a double portion of honor, respect, love, admiration, compassion, favor, and so much more… may you rise up and be the head and not the tail as you keep choosing Him and flying higher in your pursuit of Him… far above the storms of life.

    1. I have them often sometimes, however, I’m learning to trust faster and without question or reservation! Thanks for the prayer for me, too – I will receive it!!
